my n key is broken. great. my finger hurts from pressing on that underneath part. i can never take care of anything. except my sidekick and ipod.

Don't think that's a Dell but it looks like the same mechanism.

I wrote this for just such an occasion:

thank you so much. the thing is that a part of one of those pieces snapped so is there a way to get replacement for those pieces?

You have three options:
- email the maker of your computer for it
- find an electronics junk store near you. Pop a ket off an old one. I have one near me that sells old electronics by the pound
- steal it from another key, perhaps the tilde(~) key.

I'd go with the third one.
